Replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and replaced the alternator.

Not me. My hubby. Now we are on the hunt for a throttle return spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Head over to your 'big-box' hardware store for a spring that will fit. It doesn't need to be perfect, just long enough and sturdy enough to attach the throttle return to a fixed location.

Just returned from a 55+ mile drive in the countryside north of my town. Fit it in between thundershowers.
I am realllly enjoying my Tremec 5-speed.

Glued my walnut steering wheel together again. It’s regular maintenance over the decades on by Series IV GT. This time it came apart while in the shop for pistons, rings, valve job with an added bonus pressure plate and clutch. Whew! I guess when the second ring broke there wasn’t enough oomph to start? Heck, it would start and drive smoothly, albeit with a puff of smoke for character.
When my shop asked where I get parts I said Sunbeam Specialties, CA and Classic Sunbeam, NY. They had the needed parts.

On Saturday March 28th I entered my Alpine in the British Motoring Festival in Covington LA.
There were 156 British cars in the streets of Covington.
A splendid time was had by all.
