Listers,
On my way to the Northern Alberta All-British car show, my Tiger was
rear-ended. Please don't ask how an Acura caught me from behind: obviously I
didn't notice him. My bumper support was pushed into the metal pipe in the
corner of the (lower) gas tank cross-over, causing my (full) gas tank to
spring a leak. Setting aside the clever arrangement that puts a 2 1/2" pipe
full of gasoline immediately behind the rear bumper, is there a source for
this piece? If it matters, it is the driver's side pipe.
Also, are the front and rear bumpers are interchangeable on Tigers? They
appear very much alike: I have a spare bumper but I'm not sure if it is
front or rear, or if it matters.
Thanks,
Michael McBeth

Michael,
Give me a shout if you're in the Calgary area and/or if no one in Edmonton has
anything (you're from Red Deer / RMH right?). I have a spare set (tanks plus
pipes). The other route is to get a rad shop to fix it for you.

Thanks to everyone on the list for the assistance. I have located a couple
of pipes in Alberta, and hope to pick one up this week. I hope to be mobile
again soon.
Steve Kenyon: your e-mail seems to bounce when I try to reply. I am hoping
to meet up with Theo in Calgary, so I'll take a rain-check on visiting you
in Wetaskiwin, if I may.
