Carl Christensen should be running at Pittsburgh in his Alpine. Carl
is making a "tour" of eastern tracks. Unfortunately, I have an event
at the end of July which I am coordinating so I don't think I will be
able to attend. I both Carl and I will be running at Lime Rock in the
fall. In the next TE/AE Tiger Tom had put together this announcement:

Sunbeam Alpine Racing West coast styleIn the East
Carl Christiansen, the venerable West coast vintage Alpine racer is
making
his rounds on the East Coast this summer. He will be racing his Alpine
at a
variety of well-known East coast race circuits from June through
October. Carl's
Alpine is a crowd pleaser or spoiler, depending what your favorite
vintage car
is. He is typically a frontrunner ahead of Porsche 356's, Morgan's,
Triumphs, MG's and even Elva Couriers. He brings both race car and
personal Sunbeam
zeal to the track. Carl's wife, Martha of PropPrep Interiors will be
at some
of the events to. Here's a chance to meet the lady who has made many a
very
special Sunbeam interior.
Two events in particular are being targeted for Sunbeamers to rally.
Lime
Rock and Summit Point. Plans for a Sunbeam Corral are in the works at
each. The
Lime Rock event will also have the Alpine Race Car Historian, Steven
Silverstein racing his Alpine. More details later. Be sure to get your
Beam or yourself
to one of these two events or another near you. It makes Carl and Steve
want
to go even faster.
For more info contact Steve Silverstein at "(email redacted)" or
Tiger
Tom at "(email redacted)"

BTW< kind of unusual for the VSCCA, typically pre-60 cars only, but I
will be running the Alpine in the Mt. Equinox Hillclimb in Manchester,
VT, this weekend. They have been kind enough to allow the Alpine to
participate.
