So here I thought I'd throw on the Alpine and 1725 motifs before
heading off to bed. Well I can't figure out how to do it! I have
the clips, but how do I get to the other side of the fender? I took
off the interior panel near the floor thinking I'd be able to just
reach up, but no. I can't get in from the engine compartment or
under the car or the wheel well... Now I can't go to bed until I get
this figured out!
Anyone still out there?
Thanks,
Tim

I'm not sure what your clips look like. I couldn't get original ones for
mine, so I got some that fit into the holes, after which the pressure of
pushing the script in holds them in place. I didn't particularly like
this idea, so I also used an adhesive - like modern cars do to hold on
badges. I got some stuff from a panel shop that they also use for sealing
along body seams. You have to be really careful to get a neat job as the
adhesive tends to spread.

Depending on the application there are different clips. The ones without rear
access only need to be pushed in from the outside. Check with Eric at SS to
make sure you have the correct ones.

Tim,
If you have the correct clips, the clips first go into the three holes, put
the plastic badge into the motif surround and gently press the chrome into
the three clips. These clips cannot be put on from the inside and if they
are correct they are metal and look like a V with two small tabs on the outer
edges of the top of the V.
