Hi,

Tiger brake line question...

On my car the long brake line from the rear axle flex line to the 5-way has
a coupling has a splice in it. The splice is made with a nipple and line
end fittings like the ones at the flex hoses. It is located down low on
the frame rail under the passengers floor. Is the splice stock?

Frank,

Yes it is. I saw the thing and tried to tighten it because I thought it
was leaking. Difficult at best. These are the "normal" British "Bubble"
flairs, not the US double flares. They are stock, if in a difficult
location to get a set of wrenches on. Sunbeam Specialties has
replacement stock. Mine wasn't leaking, it was the valve cover gasket
dripping over the starter to the fitting!
