I make a mistake on the source of the gas tank sealer that I used in my Bugeye. It was a POR15 product that was labeled gasoline and alcohol resistant.
The material failed to bond to the tank and I was able to pull most of it out with a mechanical claw. I have about 30lbs of 1/4-20 1" bolts and that made an ideal media to shake in the tank to loosen up any of the material behind the baffles.
Stupid me. I put the stuff in with a pickup screen in the tank and this was probably a restriction that the fuel pump has been dealing with all these years. I took out the pickup screen (I can't see a way to put in a new one since the pickup tube enters the tank behind the baffle, so I'm baffled) and am using a large fuel filter with a settling bowl outside the tank and before the electric fuel pump to trap the remaining debris that eluded the shakedown and rinse. The car runs great and I can put the hammer down without fuel starvation. I am putting all lawn tractors in the 'hood on notice that there is a new sheriff in town! The mighty 948 is once again on the prowl.
I am taking this week to gussie up the Tiger for what has turned into one of New England's premier muscle car shows: Cruising on Main Street in Manchester CT on Sunday the 7th. There was a huge turnout last year and the the cars that showed up were unbelievable. Shelby's, Yenko's, Max Wedge cars... I was stunned by some ultra rare of the rolling stock. If you want to show, get there early. I don't know the count, but the cars stretched out for about 6 blocks and they were parked chevron style up both side of the street with a double row in the middle. If the weather is nice, this year will probably be bigger.

Sorry to read about your problem with tank sealer. Unfortunately
many of the tank sealers were not compatible with ethanol when they first
came on the market. The tank sealer from Eastwood now states that it
"resists all types of fuel additives even alcohol".

Ken and all:
Here is a link to the show program. The 2,000 car attendance is not accurate because after 1 they stopped counting and started double parking cars. You need to get there by 11 at the very latest to get a decent spot.
This show attracts a lot of civilians with baby strollers and busy hands so it is good to team up with the neighbors so you get time to walk around and have someone on "shoo detail". Show winners are determined by counting fingerprints. :-))
