Looking at the diagram I can't figure out where the wiring comes from for
the fuel pump. I've put the stock pump back in my car but have no power at
the lead. Everthing else works fine. Anyone know the quik fix for this. I'm
thinking there's just a dirty contact up stream in the wiring. Thanks in
advance, Chris

The fuel pump wire is white and runs beside the trans tunnel under the
carpet. There should be a Lucas connector connecting it to the main
harness on the left under the dash. Make sure you have 12 volts
in the wire. Also this wire can be spliced into a simple switch for a
fuel cutoof anti theft switch.

The wire diagram is not that hard to follow. This is for the MK I
wire harness.

The fuel pump uses the white wire.
There is a single push connector at the left kick panel.
The wire goes to the fuse with the white wires; this is in the engine
compartment.
The white wire goes to the ignition switch; lug 2.
The white wire goes to the ignition warning light.
The wire changes color to brown/ yellow and goes to the D post of the
voltage regulator.

You need 12v at all these points; the ignition switch must be ON from the
ignition switch to the pump to get 12v.
Also check the ground wire at the pump to complete the circuit.
