Tigers, and 'Pines

We are pleased to announce the release of a new "Restoration Tips"
article by Joe Parlanti. Joe has meticulously illustrated his
step-by-step disassembly, refurbishment, and reassembly of his
Tiger/Alpine design fuel gauge.

It is contained in the TigersUnited.com "Technical Tips"
section entitled "Restoration Tips". What could be clearer?

If you would like a direct link to the Restoration Tips article listing,
it is:

TigersUnited.com/techtips/rtips.asp

His is the last (latest) on the list. Maybe there are some others you
haven't read, as well?

Thank you Joe.

Steve

Joe and Steve. Great article, and the picture make it soooooo easy to
do. No brainer for restoration, and the price is right.

Nice article Joe.

Nice article!
How do I get hold of Barrie Robinson for some of those O-rings?

Great article Joe.

One caution - a few years ago (5 or 6) I was redoing my oil pressure gauge
and I wiped some type of cleaner on the letters and the lettering wiped off.
(It was either 409 or Windex) So be careful what you use when cleaning the
silk screened faces. It's kinda funny because I think I traded Joe for a
different oil pressure gauge when we both lived in Houston.

David,
I just received my O-Ring Kit from him and am most pleased. Haven't
installed them, as yet, but the kit looks good with good instructions. Has
both small and large diameter rings for both small and large gauges. They
are all round, none flat, but they should do just fine. The Tiger Kit with 4
small gauges is $17, whereas the Tiger Kit with 3 small gauges is $15. So
you should specify which you have. He is making a kit for the Smith's clock,
but said it wasn't available, yet.
