It was such a nice morning and I was finally feeling better, so I decided to drive my Le Mans to work. I LOVE THIS CAR! It was great to kick it into OD and pass in and out of the morning traffic. It really needed it's legs streatched and I had been longing to drive it. I pulled into the parking garage and couild hear the sound of the exhaust rumble and echo throughout the building. It was cool. I think I'm going to have to leave work early today. There's more driving to be done! - Ian

Bob,
What you should have been doing is heading for the invasion!!!

Where were you? I don't want to hear about all this "top down" stuff unless I see it in action.

I love half-days. We get them every Friday here at my university
during the summer.

Drove the SV this morning. An atypical LA day. About 70 deg, not a
cloud in the sky, little smog. Beautiful. I love the sound as it
screams to 6200 rpm. She really seems to like it up there and I'm
intoxicated by the purr. Still with Physical Graffitti blaring.......

Ian,
At least you can drive one!

Everyone,
For the past 6 months I have been restoring Sandy Wilson's, Commodore
Blue series V and just finished up last Friday night (for delivery at
the Invasion the next day). That Friday night my daughter and myself
cruised to the local hotrod cruise-in, and then put some miles on the
new car that evening. At about every stop light, someone next to me
would complement me on the car. That was pretty cool! However, I'm
carless again (one night out of 6-months) and making plans on the next
restoration effort. Everyone
pity me because I guess I was put on this earth to work on Sunbeams.

(Really, it's not that bad working on them).

Ian,
This reminds me of the Porsche 911 poster from several years ago:
"Linger longer over breakfast,
Home sooner after work,
What better family car............."

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!
Carl
