What is the proper color for the brake, clutch, and
accelerator pedal. If black is it gloss, satin, or
flat. While I'm at it, how about the part of the vent
system that attaches to the fan motor with the 2
connections for the ducts?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
I think most of the hardware was originally painted gloss, but over 30
years it starts to appear satin black. I usually respray with satin
black because it looks better than gloss black. One point I would like
to make on aerosol spray paints, I have tried Eastwood's satin black,
and didn't like the coverage. Pretty bad I thought. I actually found
Plasticoat satin black, from Pep Boys a surprisingly good paint. Another
product that I have tried and was not impressed with is POR-15. For
about the same price, I can buy PPG's DPLF-90 (black) epoxy primer and
brush it on over metal and as well as spray it on the outer body sheet
metal. The POR-15 takes a considerable time to dry, and time is money.

Chirs et al
Black would be suitable. Who cares as long as it's presentable? Who's
going to check against factory records anyway?
Sorry if this upsets anybody!
