Gathering from listers input, Champion Plugs are slugs. Can someone
recommend alternative quality plugs that would fit a S-V.

Ohan,
The NGK BP6ES, that you mentioned should work fine. The store probably
won't have them in stock. I have to order mine at the parts store. I
would order a set of the NGK BP5ES (a little hotter) too and run them
both and compare the plug readings. In that way, your Alpine will tell
which heat range it likes better.

OK - I know I have used AC Delco successfully in the past - also NKG and
Bosch. Presently I have Autolites in both engines. Plug # is Autolite 63 -
I have the resistor type plugs. The cost me about $1.40 each at the local
auto parts store. Ohan - I hope that helps.

from freezing!!cold windy South Dakota where the Alpines are snug and cozy
in the garage,

Paul
