Where in the world is the 4TR Alternator Control on the Series V Alpine? I can't find it anywhere! Please help! My Alpine was diagnosed with a "bad voltage regulator" but since I have an alternator I assume I have to replace the Alternator Control, a Lucas 4TR. The Service Manual gives no clue as to the location of the 4TR.
I am a "new" Alpine owner, although I bought a brand new one in 1967. I was pretty green then but no matter because I didn't have to find any parts for repairs on that particular car except for one starter replacement. It was our dating and honeymoon car and I am rebuilding an identical model that I just bought in California. Old romantics never die?

I'm new to this but also struggling with an alternator on a '67. The "alternator control" is, I believe, the voltage regulator. It's built into the alternator
