Hoping for some input on valuating this Alpine I'm considering buying.. Ive been in love with these cars since i was 10yrs old so i don't want to get too excited...haha... its a 1965 type IV ..matching numbers.. weber carb is the only known change from stock.. a little damp in the engine & grime wiped away, so I'm guessing the undercarriage wasn't painted or powder coated as a frame off.. yet all compartments are clean and rust free....it runs & drives good & tight according to the owner who's uncle finished the build in 2001 or so... been in the family for some time .. his asking price is 12,900.. which seems high, but its an above average car which haggerty's values @ 9900.00 in good condition... ..Its about 700 miles away from me...so wondering if its worth the drive if over 5 figures.
