Hi,

I normally hang out in MG Experience,
I will be going to look at a 1967 Alpine Sunbeam, are there any particular problems of places that I should check for besides the usual tinworm, mechanics, bondo etc,

Thanks in advance

Eric

The places to look for tinworm damage: In the trunk in front of the rear wheels is a good place to start. If that is not rusty, chances are it is pretty rust free. Also check the battery box, rocker panels and the floorboards.

If it is an overdrive car, be sure it is working. A common failure point is a twisted transmission output shaft. Good ones are hens teeth to find and expensive.
