Because Tigers are so expensive, and and old run down Alpine is dirt cheap.

I went to go see this alpine... It is wild, and not what I wanted, but it was built like that to run on the drag strip... It was set up as a 50's style gasser. It is not an attempt to be a Tiger. It took a lot of work, including fitting it with a Chevy 350... no small task.
