I received a phone call one afternoon from a club associate, Mike Hawthorne, and during the conversation he mentioned that he thought he might sell the tourer. About a week later he rang to say he had decided to sell the car and could I let the Riley Club know. I had spent the week contemplating the idea of another Nine, as I had always intended building one from the leftovers but this would save the time and expense of building and trimming a body. Just a little history to why I have a couple of MG's. The Sunbeam started it all! My 1927 Sunbeam 20.9 This Sunbeam has been a member of our family for many years, and after my late father had no further use for the car, I purchased it. It has never been restored, only parts rebuilt or replaced as necessary. This includes use through out the war years with frequent trips to Sydney.
